Introducing an AI Business Unit, Cassava Technologies

The AI initiatives of Cassava Technologies, a systems integrator for developing markets, will now be managed under a distinct business entity called Cassava AI, the company revealed.

With the introduction of Generative AI, Cassava has established strategic alliances with major players in the market, including Microsoft, Google, AWS, Anthropic, Oracle, Atlas AI, Cerebras, and Palo Alto Networks. Thanks to these alliances, it can provide enterprise clients in key international markets with better systems integration and support.

Leading global institutional investors are part of Cassava, an African entrepreneur founded by Strive Masiyiwa with its headquarters located in the UK. The group CEO and president, Hardy Pemhiwa, stated,  “Cassava AI is headquartered in London and can already provide services in any of the 40-plus markets in Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America, where the Cassava Technologies group companies operate. Ahmed El Beheiry, a veteran technology and telecoms executive, will lead this business unit.”

Cassava has already trained and deployed over 200 of its 5000 employees to enable customers to adopt and use Generative AI services from the top vendors in the world. Cassava already offers services like data centres, cloud, cyber security, fibre connectivity, and renewable energy to large multinational and local companies.
