African fashion has gained international attention recently, thanks to its use in music videos and movies by celebrities as well as on runways. Ignoring it is nearly difficult. Influential women like Michelle Obama and Beyoncé draw attention and set trends when they appear on red carpets dressed in African attire.
African culture is prevalent over the world right now, Afrobeats and African dancers are on practically every screen. The world will undoubtedly notice what they are wearing as a result of this. Many young Africans are residing all over the world and are making a concerted effort to re-establish ties to their cultural roots. This involves absorbing fashion from their own country and incorporating it into their own wardrobe to feel closer to their heritage.
Nigeria, the nation with the largest population in Nigeria, is thought to take the lead in presenting African fashion. The idea that African design is deeply rooted in creativity and invention is being reinforced by occasions such as FashionEVO.
“African fashion is defined by its unlimited inventiveness and invention, which is celebrated here. We are honoured to have assembled such amazing talent and trailblazers who are expanding the possibilities of fashion. This is just the start of an even bigger adventure as FashionEVO is dedicated to promoting African designers and highlighting their genius on a worldwide scale. I’d want to express my sincere gratitude to my sister Inya Lawal for sharing the Africa Creative Market platform with us. -Yetty Ogunnubi, FashionEVO’s founder, stated.
